We were due to arrive on 12 th December for 10 nights and swapped yesterday to the beach club. Didn't want to risk being in a build site (first dvc trip)

We were booked for 15 nights next July. I've just switched to AKL. Just got off the phone to disney who told me they have clarified with management the questions about WL construction and there have been no official announcements. I said I was aware of that but didn't want to take the chance, she didn't seem surprised.

I really think they need to get back to updating the parks now and stop with the expansion of more rooms etc.

Just rang again and they are simply saying that they don't know anything about it. I asked what notice they were given of construction and was told they would know at least 6 months before. However when I pushed for a guarantee of this, she wouldn't give one.😣
We really have no choice but to sit tight and hope as there is nothing left in a deluxe resort close to MK or Epcot unless we're prepared to pay an extra £1800 to stay at the GF in a deluxe room 😱. This is for 5 nights so it's a no from me!

We are so close to moving- we just don't want to risk it. We only plan on doing Christmas once and it has to be perfect. Not sure I want to risk it!
We booked via the U.S. Site, can I ring the UK number to modify the booking?

You would need to contact Disney direct by the U.S. Number. Use a 0.5p per minute number first, it will only cost you pence.

It's so annoying isn't it. We only plan on doing 3 weeks and as a split stay once - I won't be allowed more than once with work and I REALLY wanted to stay at WL while ds was young (5 on this trip) as MK is our favourite park.
If we just do 2 weeks in a villa next year and postpone WL for a few years (gutting...) ds will be older and DHS / Epcot will be his favourite. So wanted a perfect, big holiday after a baaaad year and now it's all tainted :-(
