'Cheapest' room/villa onsite with separate sleeping area for kids
I'm thinking of booking our first disney world holiday in August 2017 or 2018. I would love to stay onsite for several reasons, but really need a separate room or area for our 3yo and 5yo, because they would be going to bed before us most nights.
I think this probably means that staying onsite is out of our budget, but just though I'd ask if anyone knows what's the cheapest way to achieve this. Thanks |

Probably the one bedrooms at Saratoga springs or old key west would be best

If you want to go 2017 look now while the free dining is still on! I'd recommend OKW or SSR as you usually get most value for money here. If you want to go 2018 then the new offers come out in April which usually include 35% off these resorts with free dining you don't need anywhere near as much spending money because all you need is souvenirs and tips

Also, we shared with our kids for years and we were all so worn out after the parks we ended up going to bed at the same time! It wasn't a big deal as bedtime and routine went out the window lol

Thanks both of you. I've managed to find room layout pictures for both of those resorts and OKW looks the best because we could use the full width balcony or patio whilst the kids are alseep.
The kids get very overtired if they're up late so we definitely need the extra sleeping space. There's no way we'll be going to bed at the same time every night while they're little. Hopefully as they get older it will be a bit cheaper if we can share a room! |

Agree with the above,we found that our room was just for changing clothes, showering etc & sleeping.
I guess we would have to stay in a villa to get that viewpoint.

An apartment or villa may suit better. You would definitely get one cheaper offsite eg bahama bay, floridays.
Onsite if you can manage with a balcony whilst they fall asleep a studio at OKW or SSR would be cheapest and include full ddp. Remember time difference/jet lag/heat may mean the children's routine is different. They map nap in afternoon then bed later even if they don't nap in uk. First time we took DD at almost 2 she slept in late and we did mainly evenings in the parks. |
