Interesting (or maybe not) image puzzle for the Admins

On a thread today someone posted some images but no one other than they could see them. Here's the post

I noticed when I quoted them that I could actually see the embedded [IMG] tags and I could open the links if I pasted into a browser.

Strangely if you just post the URL it works fine.

Possibly the way Google photos is presenting the Image/Page?

The link goes to the google page which has the image embedded in it. It isn't a direct image link as Google don't allow images to be embedded in another site.

So basically you cannot use Google Images to host images to be displayed elsewhere.

Thanks Simon, thought it would be something like they way they hosted/present it all right.

So the user can click on the image, then right click and and open in a new tab as an image and then link to that.
