We went at the end of november last year and stayed in funchal,the christmas markets which open in early december in the center of funchal were lovely and they had lots of christmas lights up on the front,we would defintely go again, sorry I cant give advice on the hotel because we didnt stay there

We have stayed in madeira in November, lovely weather we still had shorts and tshirts on every day. We also stayed in funchal, we had some brilliant excursions we went whale and dolphin watching out on a catamaran which was fantastic and up on the mountains on a jeep safari which was amazing they take you off the beaten track and into the little villages the local live, we had a very strong glass on poncha which they made from scratch and blew our heads off lol. The cable cars are great even though I hate heights and from the top you can come down on the wicker tabogans. Lovely place we cannot wait to go back too

We came back two weeks ago and the weather was fab!
You can do so much...the Cable car...The Gardens at Monte are stunning..

We love Madeira we stayed in Funchal last April & the weather was beautiful then. It’s such a beautiful island we have booked to go back in August. Sorry I’m unable to comment on the time your planning on going
