Yosemite to Vegas...overnight stop ideas?

We did it this August with 2 teenagers and did it as a straight run. Didn’t really see anywhere enroute that would have been worth using a night on

We stopped at Bishop, Creekside inn I have recommended it on several other posts.

You could drive straight to Vegas but we like to stop off wherever we feel like it and with how many stops we had the drive would have been too long, can't see the point going all that way and just driving through so many beautiful stop offs just to get to Vegas.

Thanks everyone very helpful comments. I think we will take our time and stop off and perhaps stop at Mammoth Lakes for lunch and a stroll as suggested. My husband has been before and is not a Las Vegas fan so one less night there will suit him just fine!
