Seems mad as I thought at the least they actually had a uniform system now, but that seems not to be the case.
Which brings me back to my original comment where I said it seems that they aren't using the vendor's price. Or, at least, some of them aren't.

I'm still not sure why they don't have a standard price in their system for 7, 14 and 21 day Ultimate tickets. Although they don't sell these tickets in Florida, they do provide them (for people with Will Call vouchers) and the tickets do exist in their system.

The Ticketing system is very old, originated from the 90s so I am Told by an old CM friend and has been stuck together with different patches, It probably just cant cope with all the options Disney have thrown at it over the years. If the Rumour of Seasonal multi day tickets is correct then even more pricing and ticket options will be loaded into it later this year. I am surprised its not fallen over!

If there is one thing that Disney are bad with is IT. MDE may look good on the front but all the systems it connects too are legacy and would take a lot of $$ to upgrade.

This was at Epcot. They refunded our parking
We’ve upgraded 14 day ultimates to Gold passes for $63.90 at Epcot today. We’ve continually been quoted $176.50 including today but we mentioned the dibb and different prices that people have been getting and hey presto the price reduced. The guy mentioned something about gate prices and he could do them for the price we paid. I’m pleased enough with that.

When is the start date of your ticket. Is it from first day of use or from the day you upgraded?

Well, the difference in the official price between a 21 day ticket and a 14 day ticket is £25 on Disney's website. So it looks like Virgin might be charging you £20 extra per person.

(I suppose you could've bought your 14 day tickets back when the price was cheaper and hence the price to upgrade now is more).

$420 at todays rate = £332.

AP = $1058, less $420 upgrade price means they valued the 21 day Ultimate = $638 = £504.

You would have paid £837 for an AP. They gave you £504 credit for your Ultimate, leaving you £332 to pay. Assuming you paid £415 for your Ultimate, you saved around £90. Bargain!

I think! Please correct me if I've got the maths wrong!

Sounds good.

**EDIT**
Assumed it was for Platinum Plus, which may be incorrect. See further on this thread for Platinum calculations.
