Probably a stupid graphics card question

For the life of me I can't find the answer to this question.

In short I need a Nvidia Graphics card in order to stream from PC steam games to PC via my Nvidia Shield.

However I can't work out the following. Are Nvidia just a manufacturing company or are they also a standard of graphic cards.

By that I mean I could purchase the following card.

amazon/d/PCI-Expre...ics/B01IOPQ1VO

Its the NVIDIA 1050 card.

Or I could purchase this card.

ebay/p/Asus-GTX106...7442536&chn=ps

Which is a GTX1060 card as well.

However the 2nd card makes no mention of NVidia on the description.

For the card to work does it have to be manufactured by Nvidia or it is bit like VHS in that lots of manufacturers made VHS players?

I have no intention of buying either card by the way they were just for example purposes.

Odd place for this to have been moved to.

Nvidia is a graphics card chip manufacturer and GeForce is one of their brand names for their chips. So both cards run Nvidia chips.

Its like Intel and AMD are processor chip manufacturers used by many companies to build computers.
