Advice from those of you who price track please!

When you track prices do you use the exact dates or the exact day?

What I mean is we are planning 27/12/2020-07/01/2021 (Sun-Thurs) so should I use 27/12/19-07/01/2020 (Fri-Tues) or 29/12/19-09/1/2020 (Sun-Thurs).

I know that I won't be getting an exact price but I'm one of those people who enjoys this kind of thing

I tend to have two or three combinations of date or length that I always track so I have a definitive comparison and sometimes throw something else in.

So we go October half term (2 weeks) I track flying out on the Sunday 10 day stay always and sometimes/often check the Saturday Monday and Tuesday too for slightly different lengths of stay

I always track the equivalent dates, so if they were Sunday - Thursday this year, I'd do Sunday - Thursday next year.

But the day actually changes if you stick to exact dates. I track dates to the nearest day of the week as Disney can have higher weekend prices as can airlines.

That's why I said equivalent dates, not exact dates. So if my dates this year we're Sat 1st - Sat 15th, for next year I would do the equivalent Sat-Sat dates, not 1st - 15th. I said that in my first post too - if they were Sunday - Thursday this year (as in the ops case) I'd do Sunday - Thursday next year.
