Ooh, I'm jealous!

Most of the things I love doing in Paris wouldn't go down very well with a 4-year old, I suspect. Although if she has watched Disney's 'Hunchback' she might like to see Notre Dame.

You must go up the Eiffel Tower - it's a fab view. Also a fab view from Sacre Coeur. Other must do's are Notre Dame, Arc de Triumphe, the Louvre and a night-time walk along the River Seine. It's years since we went - feel another visit coming on

My DB and GF were there last month, and they enjoyed a boat trip down the River Seine. They went at night and had a meal on board, but they do day trips as well, which would be more suitable for your DD.

What about a day at Disney Paris?

Paris, like most cities, has a tour bus that you can hop on and off - and with kids is a godsend. We went around twice in one day - once hopping on and off and then a 'sit down' tour, just people and tourist watching! Then if your daughter sees something she likes the look of, you can jump off.

Can't remember the actual price, but remember it not being too bad value (especially if you've ever looked at the prices of the London ones!).

We downloaded some talks from a website called Cities in Sound. You follow a map round an area and listen to the commentary on iPod or CD. Great fun, just the right level of interesting info without making it feel like school! Prob not great for DD though.

We found a cheap sandwich chain called Croissanterie and another called Brioche D'Oree who have branches all over the place. Useful for quick and cheap lunches.

The bus tour around Paris is lovely, we took our 3(almost 4) year old daughter and she loved it- even if she listened to the commentary in spanish!

Try and get hold of a book called Great Eats in Paris. It is a good guide and never let us down.
