Wow! Just read the whole thread. OP what an awful experience! I hope they compensate you more than the standard amount. Hope you have a fabulous holiday now that everything is back on track.

BevS97 - pleased to hear you made it home I knew someone else on your flight so was watching for any cancellations/delays etc - my heart kept sinking when the departure time kept changing. Thankfully your flight wasn't cancelled.

I hope your holiday gets better. I’d have been crying especially at the 5 hours on the tarmac combined with losing the luggage. Hopefully you can get some compensation.

We were caught up in it too, although we were at Heathrow at 6.30 so things werent as bad at that time. Finally got called to check iin just an hour before our flight but still got to LAX on time. However, we are missing a suitcase. Will be able to get by for now with clothes from 2nd suitcase but we leave this hotel on Saturday. Keeping my fingers crossed it will bet back to us by then.
Sods law that the missing case contains more useful stuff than the one we have! |
