Difficult one as both are great. You need a car for both ideally. Bahama Bay is quieter but you have the outlets and more central for lbv. We went with Bahama Bay again as prices for us to stay at lbv were on par with Disney onsite prices . I think price comes down to it for us in the end.

I loved both resorts but DH would say lake buena vista we've stayed there I think 4 times now. I agree it has got more expensive but if your doing the Disney parks it's a great location 😀 Pizza Hut takeaway on site and the Irish pub is good

Have only stayed at LBV but loved it there. Great location and a quick drive up to disney. Guess I would agree it would come down to price. We got a great deal when we stayed there.

Have also stayed at Grande Villas a little further up the 535 to LBV. They are condos as well as another suggestion and they were even better.

For me it would be Bahama Bay, but then again personal preferences are different for different people. Bahama Bay is cheaper but is also a quieter area, particularly traffic wise, and I prefer that. Restaurants within walking distance aren't important to us (there is always the onsite one in BB if required).

Thanks guys! The results so far are totally even! I guess that means it's really going to come down to what is more important to us when it comes to booking - cost or proximity to parks.
We have stayed in a villa near Bahama Bay before. It wasn't until we returned 2 years later and stayed onsite and then 2 years after that and stayed at LBV that we realised how far out we had been at Davenport and the amount of driving required, even just going out to eat in the evening. I guess the money saved staying at Bahama Bay would pay for a couple of nights at HRH when we do Universal, however, as the only driver I think the proximity of LBV to Disney would be preferable for me as the drive home after a long day in the parks is always a killer, and we will be spending the majority of our time at Disney. I'm going to have to put it to a vote and see what the rest of the family think.

We always stay in the Davenport area if possible, stayed champions gate last March which is close to Davenport or it might come under Davenport, we love this area , we hire a car so really not an issue for us 😄
