booked again yippee

We’ve stayed at both. Royal room at POR or standadard room at FQ for me. POR is too big for us if you are on the Bayou, FQ is much smaller and only a short walk to POR if you fancy a change of menu, we did it twice to meet friends this time.

Not voted as only experienced POR. We did really like this resort... however, we then stayed at SSR, BC then ASMu with preferred room.
We have decided we much prefer being closer to the amenities and would prefer a much smaller resort / hotel. Therefore we have booked FQ next year. Really like the looks of it... oh and the toddler pool area looks great for DS.

I'd vote for POFQ with little ones. It's small and everything is close together, so ideal for little legs. I think the pool is better than the POR one for young children too. Not zero entry, but it's gradually stepped, plus the water splash play area looks great fun too. I think POR is better for older children.

As a party of five, we have to stay at POR in Alligator Bayou, and I would still choose it as a smaller party. AB is beautiful, the quiet pools are so pretty, the food court is handy, and the buses are great if you request to be near West Depot which is the first stop inbound and outbound.

They are both gorgeous but if I’m truly honest I’m just back from pofq for the third time. A couple of times the bus went around riverside and it reminded me again why I love pofq. Por is just too big for me. At pof, one bus stop, all rooms close to everything you will need - I just cannot see past the place now. Funny thing is I done a poll thing on here before our first visit and chose pofq based on people’s comments. The reason I chose it is still the reason I love it. Also they are both lovely anyway. Dd is 16 but my wee boy who is 10 loved the pool activities and pool games every day - I love how easy it is to nip up to the room ( even the kids did themselves ) it’s so pretty and gorgeous I don’t think you’d be disappointed and the kids pool but for younger ones is fantastic

POFQ for us. Enjoyed a walk or 2 round RS but just felt "nicer" in POFQ. Maybe as it's smaller or just the different way it's themed. Tricky to put my finger on it.

Both lovely resorts, we stayed at Riverside last year and it was great but we've also stayed at FQ and much prefer it, mostly for the size of it I think. Couldn't get in this year so giving CBR a try after the alterations but the boss has already booked FQ for next year as she really wants to stay there again.

We have stayed at POR and it was fabulous, only Disney hotel we have stayed in though, back next year at FQ as it was the only one of the two offering free dining . I was completely torn between the two so it made my Decision for me! I like the more adult vibe at riverside as there is only me and my partner , hopefully FQ will have a similar vibe as I’ve heard it is romantic with all the street lanterns etc, think we will steer clear of splash pad and maybe head to riversides quiet pool! The best part for both is it’s a short walk to use either facility! For us ultimately it’s just a base for our holiday- most of the time we will be out anyways !

The splash pad is its own separate bit. Don’t have to worry too much and even the main pool wasn’t too busy.
POFQ is amazing... for families or adults only... perfect place. We would not stay anywhere else again... exception being Wilderness Lodge of course
