Yes, you will still gain a benefit over all the regular guests although that benefit may not be quite as good if EMM was not on that day. That's assuming you've had breakfast before 9am.

You'll still beat the thousands of regular guests who will be held back at the Hub before the official park opening time. And the number of EMM guests will be very small - it's a limited ticket event. The number of people riding SDMT by the time you get there will be small and many will have moved on from Fantasyland and looking to gain entrance to other parts of the park.

So, although the SDMT queue will not be totally empty, there will still be significantly less people in it than if you arrived as a regular guest and entered at 9am.

I wouldn't be worried about bigger lines, you are still allowed to queue while EMM guests can ride. The main difference may be if they had let you ride before 9am they definitely won't on a EMM day.
