Who actually 'enjoys' flying?

I was chatting to someone who said they loved flying. I found that a bit odd, but I wish I felt the same because even travelling club class me and the wife don't enjoy flying at all.

Clearly we like being in Florida, but my question is does anyone actually enjoy the flight to Florida?

No, I don't like flying at all. It's a means to an end that I tolerate, but certainly don't enjoy.

We are with you there Mickey.

Having crossed the pond a few times I'm always wondering what that "Whining and clunking" is about a minute after take off. I know full well that it's the flaps and the undercarriage going back in but for a second or so I'm sure bits are about to fall off.

I'm not happy until the tyres hit the asphalt again - although I'm not one to join in the applause that some passengers think appropriate.

Yes!

It's 7-8hrs watching movies, with a waitress bringing you food and drinks!

It's a zillion times better than what i do every day at work - 7-8hrs looking at Spreadsheets (ok, 3hrs and 4 hrs looking at the Dibb...).

I love it and wish I could do it more often. I have to sit near the window so I can see at take off and landing. I enjoy being waited on too. Makes a change from being the server and no washing up afterwards. Love having a Vodka and coke (or three) while watching a movie too and at the end of the flight I'm in another country ready for my holiday.

Yes.. I quite like flying. As someone who rarely gets time to rest and doesn’t even when they do, it’s quite nice to be made to rest.. watch movies, eat, sleep. I like it. I also like looking out of the window at the land below. Oh and clouds.. I love clouds too. Definitely like flying. (Notice I’ve gone from quite like to definitely like. Clearly convinced myself!)
