Question slinky dog what does it compare too?

how does slinky dog compare to other coasters?
Ds really wants to go on it but he hates roller coasters so I'm trying to work out how to explain to him what its like. He has ridden mine train and absolutely hated it though he was ok at the start it was just the last fast bit after the mines that really ruined it.

it is a childrens ride technically, very smooth, with some great little bits. Less than mine train - i am sure he will be fine

I’d say it compares to Big Thunder Mountain. 7 Dwarfs Mine Train is smoother and less intense I think. We only rode Slinky once so it’s only my recollection from that.

I didn’t find it smooth. I thought it was quite rattly but I think it depends where you sit.

I expected it to be quite tame like 7 dwarfs but I actually thought it was more like Thunder Mountain.

A difficult one to compare, as it's pretty unique.

Was the first roller coaster of our recent holiday and managed to encourage my Mum to ride with us - big mistake, as she really didn't like it and didn't ride many other rides after that.

Not sure it's as fast as BTM, but if he didn't enjoy SDMT I doubt very much he will enjoy SDD

I love 7 dwarfs mine train however the slinky ride terrified me. For some reason I felt less safe, it seemed high up with a big drop on each side of the track. (On 7DMT you are within the mountains so don’t feel high up, if that makes sense) my youngest was 5 and he loved it, the only ride he hated was TOT because it scared him

I think it sits between SDMT and BTMR

It has the smooth feel of SDMT but nowhere near as much shaking around as BTMR if that makes sense. A nice well themed ride but not worth lining up for more than 20 mins for in my view.

I agree with Mr TM...it’s between the two, and would say faster than SDMT. But we love it, it’s so much fun and went on a lot longer than we expected it to. Still would queue for longer than 30 mins for it though.

thanks for all the replies

I thought it looked quite fast but its kind of hard to tell from videos what its really like.
I honestly don't think he'll like it but if he wants to try it when we get there then I'll let him but I won't bother fast passing it as I there are other rides I know he will really want do.
