Aw, thanks -

I really appreciate that you took the time to post as I wrote. It was so much easier to keep going when I knew that someone was reading - lol!

Just one more post to go and then I can read your trippie...

Ah the last day, I actually thought you had finished, sorry! I like to read TR's when they are finished all in one go as I hate getting to day whatever and being promised a big surprise then never finding out what said surprise is lol!

I did actually laugh out loud at the dibber/VD comment!

The lunch menu at the museum seemed horrifically expensive?!

Have thoroughly enjoyed reading both perspectives

No fear, I would never leaving you hanging!

And yes - we were at Gatwick in 2014. Poot and a wee lad from Belfast were playing on one of those tumble jungles...I got talking with the boy's mother about holidays and I asked her if she was on the Dibb (or something like that). The look she gave me...

Moving on...

I was GOBSMACKED at the prices at the Mitsitam - but, having said that, the food really was a big step up from that served at the other national museums (it was McDonald's at the Air & Space Museum... ). As always in America, the portions were large; I think if DH had been there we could have fed all three of us on one main and the two sides that Poot and I chose (so $30). There was free water, though!

I will pass on your kind remarks to Poot - he has been pleased to hear that so many adults enjoyed his efforts. Thanks for making it to the end with us...

Ah ! Thank you poot! There has been a bird that always flies across my path when I take Isabella to school and I had no idea what it was , only that it had a bright yellow spot on its head . Lo and behold it's a type of Warbler called a Goldcrest .. I think!
Great trip report yet again and very funny .
It has definitely tempted me in to visiting Washington, always say we will then we pick somewhere else .

Yes, come to Poot with all of your bird ID dilemmas...

He'll be pleased to know that he helped you out - it makes him feel very grown-up!

So pleased to hear you enjoyed the report - it was fun to write (and so worth it for that) - but it's extremely rewarding to know that my feeble efforts are appreciated by others as well. AW...

Poot REALLY wants to go back to Washington - but I can think of a LONG list of places that I'd pick first! Good luck in your decision-making...

So glad you liked it - I think I did improve a bit between this one and the Florida one - but I'm going to resist the temptation to go back and tinker with this!

Glad you had some time to enjoy yourselves on the last day. Shame about all the security experiences though.

Poot's comment about the plant which rolls up reminds me of my childhood visits to Roath Park in Cardiff, where they had a 'sensitive plant' you could touch. I was fascinated!

As Poot is such a bird fan he might enjoy Peter's video of our recent visit to the Wildfowl and Wetland Centre in Barnes - here you go!
