thomas cook sleeper seats!

I was just perusing the TC site as I am bored and have everything planned

Came across this

More space to relax
Doze off across on a comfy mattress over three seats. A pillow, sheet, blanket, extension seat belt and our Amenity Kit is included. Available in Economy Class on long-haul flights.

How does it work?
Crew set up a specially designed mattress across three dedicated seats. These seats are at the back of an A330 plane, in the middle. Crew will also stow the mattress ahead of landing.

The Sleeper Seat is 148.5cm (4ft 10'') long and 67cm (2ft 2'') wide.

Who can book a Sleeper Seat?
Only one passenger can book it. If you have oxygen, breathing equipment, a guide dog, or are under 12, you can’t use Sleeper Seat. Please travel with a companion if you need help on and off the mattress.

from £ 399.00 pp

I know its not but sounds like an April fool. For them to do this they would not have to sell two seats on every flight.

It does sound a bit too good to be true I agree!
But maybe for flights where they anticipate spare seats anyway, maybe only for sale late on when they realise flight won't fill? stopping folks doing exactly what the sleeper seats sell, but of their own accord, spreading about half empty planes, and in more comfort. Get a little bit more money out of passengers for the comfort? It does say FROM £399?
I'm just guessing here

As am I. Provides for interesting scenarios for family groups etc. Who gets to sleep on a mattress while the others have to sit. Would you need to be belted in just in case of turbulence while sleeping. How do they avoid the seat belt bits which stick up etc.

We need pictures!

Thanks for posting. I get it now but it does feel and look a bit weird. Think its the very smiley people being smiley with each other. Lets hope the row in front don't recline.

Not very long though. Not sure what’ll happen to my 5ft 8 body!
