You just need to hold your nerve with TUI and book late
For example 17th April to 1st May from Gatwick is
£279 return economy
£567 premium

So a total of £2835 for five pax premium return!

As I said before the closer to the date you want, generally it gets cheaper.
Glad you got sorted with Virgin . A package I assume, so you can pay up.

we booked for 2020 with TUI when they were released back in November 2018 and for the same flights we were cheaper than this year

I got a good deal with tui for August 2020, we’re flying out from Gatwick for 3 weeks and we booked a fly drive and paid £4100 for 2 adults and 2 children premium seats, full size car and upgraded insurance. Seemed quite reasonable to me

The DIY flights aren't all out yet. Ive been watching the prices with travel companies and flights. its still too early.

I’ve been pricing up for May 2020 and the package prices really aren’t too bad considering the flights are direct from Newcastle

I booked a package holiday with them for May 2020 when they went on sale and the overall price was about £50 cheaper than I paid for 2018.
