Grand Beach at Lake Bryan

Has anyone stayed here recently?

DS and I are going next year without DH and would prefer suite type accommodation rather than our usual villa option.

Have been doing a bit of research and Grand Beach came up as a possibility so I am looking to see if any Dibbers have stayed there and what they thought of it.

We stayed here in a two bed apartment last April. It’s a beautiful resort. Sort of off on it own but all the buildings are around the lake which is nice.
We were in a newer block (I think) and it was just lovely, looks exactly like the pictures you see online.
I also liked that the rooms were accessed via an internal corridor which you don’t normally get with these type of accommodation. There was a door at either end and you couldn’t gain access unless staying on that level, if that makes sense.
Covered parking on level one too which was a bonus.
Kitchen well equipped, pools nice too. Never used any of the food outlets so can’t help with that.
Would definitely stay again.

Thank you for that. Nice to read a good review of it here.
Have the choice narrowed down to it and a hotel on Hotel Plaza Boulevard. I want the suite and he wants the hotel room. Proximity to Blaze Pizza being the selling point!

We stayed there for two weeks in November. We stayed in a 3-bedroom unit and had no complaints. Modern, clean and the resort staff were excellent if there were any problems.

We really liked the large balcony - much larger than what we had when at Grande Villas (also operated by Diamond Resorts). The security is also better than Grande Villas as you need a room key to get from the stairwells to the corridors where the rooms are (should say that we never had any security problems at Grande Villas).

The resort had a nice calm appeal to it. Would recommend.

That’s interesting as we stayed at Grande Villas when it was known as Cypress Pointe. Got a great bargain at the time through a heads up from a Dibber.
I have a few months to work on DS and bring him around to my way of thinking

We just returned today from a 5 night stay and really really enjoyed ourselves. The rooms are lovely and big everything you need to make a full meal or just light snacks, the grounds were really nicely kept. We had a barbecue on site whilst looking over the lake. We used the hammocks, the pool and played crazy golf we just felt really comfortable and happy with the resort. Would definitely stay there again.
