Recommendations for Great Barrier Reef boat tour

Can anyone recommend a reputable company I can book a day tour with please from cairns . I want to book it from the uk

Many people go with Quicksilver. They are a big operation and cater for large numbers. They have their own pontoon with lots of activities for all ages /abilities. We opted for Wavelength (from Port Douglas) they operate small group boats with a marine biologist on board (our boat had 12 people). We went out to different reefs and the snorkelling was amazing. We�re glad we went on a smaller boat when we saw the crowds disembarking from Quicksilver.

I have been numerous times. I would also not go with a huge boat like Quicksilver, no appeal to me whatsoever. However the water can be choppy so I can�t go to the other extreme because I need a more stable vessel. I have done a small 30 (say) trip and spent most of the time with my head over the side.

One of our favourites and somebody we would use again is this company, which is in the middle.

Thank you both but they are staying in cairns and have no transport and cairns harbour is 5 mins walk from the hotel .
We�ve looked at quicksilver but agreed it�s too many people to be enjoyable .

It was a long time ago but we went with Reef Magic (I think...). Wasn't too crowded and was a great day.

I should also recommend Cairns Ninebot Tours for a Segway tour of Cairns (for the one reason that my brother-in-law owns it!)

Oo thank you , I�ll get them to take a look . They are only there 2 nights mainly to see the reef but I�ll see if they can squeeze this in.
