I rarely eat in costa, perhaps the odd weekend when I treat Mrs MH, but I am not keen on their cakes that sit out in the open for god know how long.

I recently parked my car across the road from costa and had to get a parking ticket, and then walked into costa and the staff member handed me my costa as I walked up to the counter (they spotted me pulling up in my car). That's what I call good service!

We both work full time hours. Kids are 10 and 15. They make their beds before coming down the stairs and make sure their rooms are tidy. We do ours so b4 heading for brekkie upstairs is tidy. Put on wash b4 we go out door. Have 15 yr old trained to do washes too. Hubbie makes the dinner in the evening. Kids will run hoover over downstairs every second evening. Then the best bit...We pay a cleaner to come in of a Thursday morning...2 hrs...she is wonderful. Love coming in the door Thursday evening. Ironing done floors washed bathrooms done and house sparkling. Resisted getting her for years but she is the best €30 spent.

Yep! But it’s my own fault. I’m so tired of trying (and failing) to get them to help me, I’ve given up asking. My daughters take care of their bedrooms and bathroom and they do their own washing now. The rest of the house is down to me. OH has been pampered by his mother all his life (he didn’t leave home until late 30s) and is clueless. I asked him to hoover at the weekend, he did the rug in the lounge and then had to sit down. I finished the rest. I’m a fool to myself but it’s easier to do it than to keep getting upset over it. I do get a bit annoyed when the women in my team at work do sooo much for their sons, I don’t pass comment but I think “You’re raising more lazy men!”. I thought society was moving past that. OH openly admits that he expects my girls to help me (he’s not their dad) but if I had boys he wouldn’t expect the same.

I'm normally fairly on top of things but over the last 2 weeks its been dreadful in this house. Small DIY job ended up effecting every room upstairs, dust every where, very poorly child off scool for the second week, different appointments. I've not stopped. I got up at 6am today just to get an hours head start today. I feel your pain. Good luck xx
