Margaritaville? Has anyone been, did you like it?

I've booked 8 nights at Endless Summer for sept 2020 but ideally we would want to be doing 10-14 nights. Hopefully the rest of the nights will be spent at Disney, but that depends on whether free dining will be released and how much it all works out to in the end.

One other option was Margaritaville. It has the kind of aesthetic both my friend and I like in hotels and looks really lovely in photos. I understand it's rather new, and I was wondering if anyone from the dibb has been/ could offer some insight.

We would probably be travelling from the hotel to Disney. Looking on a map it's not too far, but has anyone done this before? Was it an easy journey?

Did you like the hotel? Was it too loud? I like the tropical look of it but we wouldn't want it to be party party all the time, especially at night when we are getting to sleep. How is it around the pool, etc?

What kind of people use the hotel mostly? Is it more adult or is it family?

Would you recommend it?

Thanks!

I saw the construction site in my last trip and have been following on Facebook , it’s very new , good location but I think a lot of building work and construction still ongoing .

All the main part is virtually finished ..the hotel and excellent restaurants around the entrance (anybody can use)
they are cracking on with the "villas" which I find rather strange...tall and thin(even the one bed) and very close together , no private pool
Yet to be built are the "timeshares"...these new builds are nowhere near the hotel

the location is extremely good for Disney...but I would not use for that...so pricey might as well stay on site for that money

I suspect they're maximising profit with the tall/thin builds. Feels like they're mimicking the same "island" style of new builds as found on Anna Maria Island. (Buy an existing island bungalow off a local, demolish and build 2 x luxury townhouses on the same plot for the rental market)

For the OP, looks like the ever dependable Tim Tracker did some poking around on opening week in February...

Yes you are right they want it to look "beachy" as in AMI...I go every year...but the beach front houses there are much bigger...look like sensible houses..either that or condos...they are not allowed to build anything more than 2 storeys high...
the Margarittaville ones look like "bird houses" according to my local neighbour in Florida..and they do not appear to be very private!
Sorry to side track

I see what you mean. I was quoted £650 ish for 5 nights, and it’s a about £200 more for a moderate at Disney for that many nights. But then again, Disney transport and other Disney benefits probably do tip the scale in Disney’s favour.

If I was looking at a value for Disney, disney would win but it’s two adults on this trip and my friend isn’t a fan of ‘movie/Disney themed’ hotels, so we probably would be looking at a moderate.

It was this video that made me interested! I’m more of a Disney person myself but I know my friend would rather a more ‘adult’ resort, and the pool looks lovely!

I stayed in margaritaville in Hollywood beach and loved it! Would go back in a heartbeat.
It was so relaxed, wasn’t a party hotel at all. I was there with my mum and son(8) and we all loved it.
Was mainly an adult crowd, cocktails by the pool etc but not wild. We are planning our next Florida trip now and considering margaritaville
