Go pro footage unloading

Hi All,
My son has a go pro hero 5 he wishes to take on our forth coming trip. My question is what do you all do with regards to getting the footage off the memory stick. Do you take more than one memory card, laptop? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I took a number of memory cards for mine the first few times I made vlogs.

I have a ravpower file hub and a small hard drive to back them up now, but did the three trips without previously

I bought a ravpower hub as well. Worked well for 3 weeks of footage!

DH has bought a 1tb hard drive that connects to my laptop I'm taking for our 3 week trip. We've got a GoPro Hero 5 and DD has just purchased a Sony RX100 to take her videos so we'll need that

J ba e a rawpower file hub as well (mine doubles as a power bank) but I will also be taking my laptop with me so I can back up the memory cards

I just don't want to take any chances!

That's pretty much what I did. I kept the video on the cards but also copied it to the usb harddrive using the ravpower. All backed up using my mobile phone to connect via WiFi and copy. Saved me taking a laptop

How many micro sd cards are you taking ? I think I have 3 x 128GB

I usually record about 250gb over a fortnight. I have mostly 64gb cards

I'm beginning to think that owning a gopro is a bit like a kitchen - you never have the right bit to hand when you need it. Especially mounts !
