For anyone reading just this thread, some fantastic news this morning, due to heavy challenges by members on the other board questioning the legality of what was done, DVDMC have now reversed the new charts and the creation of all these new points via lockoff premium. So those are cancelled.
The ‘little’ men and women won out thankfully.

Wow really! That's amazing news! I was reading it last night and was amazed how informed people were on the ins and outs of how it all works! I did wonder whether a legal challenge would happen!

So now my stay in 2020 is going to 1 day shorter as the points have gone back up for the room type we want.

I suspect DVD will be having a close look at the figures and maybe preparing some sort of notification explaining the changes and why it is doing it. If I was a betting man it will probably change for 2021..

Bighal most likely would have been in a 2 bed- the only rooms to have seen some reduction, albeit i think there was a very limited reduction in a few resorts/ seasons in 1 beds and AKL Value 1 beds bizarrely went down so he could have had one of them.

I thought all resorts had reverted back to 2019 points?

They have- but on the original 2020 chart, a few categories of rooms/ seasons (as above) had gone down- they have gone back up as it reverted to a chart similar to 2019.

An interesting revision being reported on DIS
The wording has changed to

Purchasers who purchase an Ownership Interest at any DVC Resort, other than Riviera Resort, including any furture DVC Resorts, from a Club Member who owned the Ownership Interest prior to January 19, 2019, are excluded from the prohibition set forth in this paragraph 2.”

So Resale are basically protected?
