When to go, 2019!

Hi

I've saved up and was all ready and due to book flights and a villa for Sep 2019. But now with Star Wars Galaxys Edge opening on 29th Aug, I'm thinking that isn't a good idea because it'll be so busy.

So...When to go? ! Don't want to go in peak summer months, i.e. June July Aug - too hot and too busy from what I've read.

I could entertain the idea of a last minute trip, like in the next few weeks but again from what I've read this is now a busy time too and runs into most of April due to Easter and US school holidays.

Thoughts anyone?

Will late March be really busy?

Anyone been in late May?

Thanks in advance!

Would recommend early May, that’s when we’re going and have been the last few years.

Tbh it’s always busy these days, doesn’t matter when you go! But is generally less busy in early May and weather tends to be good. Hot and sunny but not too humid or a large amount of rain (last May being an exception)

Hello and welcome to the DIBB,in reply to your question,we find that late April/early May is comfortable not too hot and less rain than June,we normally go in Sept as well but due to Star Wars opening around then have moved the cheeky week back a month.Weather nice around this time with lower rainfall and still quite warm.Hope this helps.

May as a whole is quiet a quiet month so I would recommend that otherwise if you want to see SW Land then late November.

Late May (as in the last week) can get quite busy as it is memorial weekend and many US schools break up for summer at this point. Weather can also be a bit hit and miss in late May. We went last week in may last year and had heavy rain for the first few days (a couple of total wash out days). However, I’d still rather go in late May than the peak of summer. July and early August would be too busy for me.
