Booking in advance for city walk?

Hi
We are going at Easter, so during a v busy time. Do we need to book at city walk and other off site restaurants? I’d rather not as I’d prefer some spontaneity but equally I don’t want to miss out on some of the restaurants on our doorstep. (We are at cabana bay)

Not sure any restaurant other than Hard Rock takes bookings.
We’ve always managed to get in most places albeit with a wait eg Vivo - 30 mins, Toothsome - 30 mins, NBC - 10 mins
Just be aware the places get busy around park closing time, for obvious reasons

Booking Hard Rock works quite well. I can’t remember being able to book any others, although we tried to wait in the ‘virtual line’ for Cowfish which you can do through their website but it didn’t work - our ‘fish’ kept losing it’s place. Luckily we didn’t need it as they got us in within ten minutes. 😊

Have eaten at NBC, Margatittavile, hard rock and never made a reservation, this is during August... usually just a walk up and a wait for 5 mins or so. If you’re staying at universal hotels though you can skip the line I think, although never tried it!

I have never booked or had a wait anywhere on Citywalk. However we do try to avoid the peak tines, eat lunch early etc.

I have heard about this Universal hotel priority, but when I asked how it worked on my recent trip, I was looked st like I had sprouted two heads, so really not sure it is a thing.

Thanks all. We’d be aiming to eat at 6-7 ish most days to suit the children. Ive booked hard rock (I’m not convinced but apparently it’s a “tradition” that husbands family used to do!) but can only see lunchtime reservations available at other places.
We’ll wing it when we are there I am sure.

Not need to book panda express. Tends to be our go to if the queues are massive elsewhere.

But as others have said mainly been walkups. Used HRH room key for priority seating at HRC once. No idea if that is still in play though it was a good few years ago...

Several places can be booked in advance via Zomato. You can book places like Jimmy Buffets about a month before.
