Visiting other resorts.

We are staying at CBR and would like to look around some other resorts while we are there.
I have read that you can only park at deluxe resorts if you have a dining reservation. I wondered if it would be possible to visit during the day when these resorts are quieter?
Also, is it possible to drive to other moderate resorts and park there and eat in their food courts?
TIA

We had no problem visiting the boardwalk or Animal Kingdom lodge,we just told them at the gate we wanted to look around, they asked for photographic Id and smiled and let us in!
You are encouraged to Visit, they hope you love it enough to book to stay there!

Hi, we are staying at OKW in July. We have booked breakfasts at some other resorts - Boma at AKL, Kona Café at the Poly, and Trail's End weekend brunch at FW. We plan to travel to Disney Springs and then get buses to these resorts so I don't know about parking, but it is one way for us to get a look at some other resorts.

We've never stayed on site but every holiday we park up at DS and catch the free WDW transport to one of the resorts - and sometimes more than one on the same day.

One recent "itinerary". Bus to Wilderness Lodge then boat to Contemporary. Do the other two monorail resorts then bus back from one of them to DS.

Or - bus to either S&D, Y&BC or Boardwalk. Boat ride round the rest of them. Back to DS my bus from any of them.

Or - even simpler a boat from the DS docks to OKW, POR or SSR.

You don't need to be staying at any WDW resort, or have a dining reservation or have park tickets to use the WDW transport. We always park at DS though because of pressure on the parking spaces for residents.

Or even simpler, walk to SSR. From Marketplace it takes 10 minutes.

20 minutes when your limbs are 70+ even if your heads are still in your thirties.

Still quicker than a boat or a bus!

I think we've only visited SSR once - I just recall about 20 bus stops.
