See you there! We're having a cheeky week at Universal in late August and having always only done WDW we thought that this was the perfect week to do Universal instead. I'm sure you'll have a great time!

We will be there then also, and the 29th is my sons 11th birthday, Luckily we have booked other stuff to do that day, as much as id love to go to see the new Star Wars park the crowds would really irritate me.

We're considering DHS on the 29th and just doing it (getting there super early).

In terms of Disney parks, Epcot can absorb huge crowds and not feel too busy due to its spacing. Likelihood is food and wine will have just started and will probably have an impact.
So my gut says Magic Kingdom. It has the total ride capacity to absorb large crowds and has plenty to do.

I'm note sure going to Universal would include desired crowd avoidance. There are those who want to see GE and those who want to avoid completely (and go to Universal).

We're also there for opening. We plan to do a Disney water park that day, can't be dealing with the potential crowds at any of the main Disney parks especially with a stroller and the heat

I think we will go and have a look on the 29th. We will be off-site by that part of the holiday and it’s our final day. I’d like to go, just to say I was there. We won’t queue for the ride though, just to have a look around, do you think there will be much to see, as in, Will the rest of the themed area be ready and open, or just the new ride?
