Their bill was $400!

However take a look at this. $45 for a wooden board full of god awful fat. I wouldn't pay 45 cents for that.

The 2 slices of bread look lost, please tell me that's not all you get?
That isnt bread, its honeycomb and some sauce. In terms of fat thats how salami and good quality jamon iberico are meant to look. I certainly wouldnt pay the prices shown here but still

Ahh, I can see it's honeycomb now. That does look nice for that product I must say.

The rest sorry to say I couldn't eat if my life depended on it.

I opened the menu after starting this thread. Bad idea... I've not had my dinner yet and the menu looks amazing, I'm really hungry now! That being said I'm afraid it's out of our price range for our upcoming trip anyway!

We were initially quite excited about Jaleo, right up until I saw a preview of the menu I'm sure that it's the best Tapas in the world but I'm not paying those prices! I watched the Dis review & was aghast that only 3 tapas in & already at $100- to be fair the Gambas was a huge portion compared to any Tapas place that I've tried but it was $36! I'm sure that it will be full of "Free Dining" guests using 2xTS but for all those that are doing that ,how many would still use those 2 credits if they had to pay for the plan ?

I don’t think I would on DDP but this year we’ve upgraded so I’m not really considering our credit use carefully like I usually would.

It’s massively over priced although OH and I watched a few reviews and he did point out that Pata Negra etc wouldn’t be cheap to import?
I still thought it was a bit OTT personally

I saw the review on the dis. We normally go with the dining plan but there is no way we would use 2 credits and leave hungry.

This is my feeling especially when I could get a beautiful meal at the Yachtsman or Cali grill.

Yes, it’s a unique experience but even on credits I’d struggle to justify it.

Because tapas is not supposed to be a meal, tapas was invented by a king or general, he wanted a cover (tapa) to stop the flys going in his drink a servant brought him a small plate with meat on.

Tapas is served alongside a drink.
Tourist places tend not to serve traditionally cooked tapas.

The picture shown from Mr T is a traditional plate costing about €8. Bread here is unlimited
