Virgin Holidays Universal Hotel booking

Hi Guys,

Has anyone booked a one night stay at a Universal hotel in order to get the early entry and express passes for the two days?

We had decided to do just that for our trip in August and was part way through the booking process when I noticed under the T&Cs that it stated a 'minimum 2 night stay at all times'. This stopped me in my tracks as I didn't understand why it was letting me book at all if a 1 night stay wasn't possible? Then I wondered if the 2 night minimum pertained to the free express passes?

Can anyone tell me if they've booked a 1 night at universal and got the express passes? Or tell me if its possible?

Would be so grateful for any advice before I try calling Virgin

You get it with 1 night bookings, so no need to worry

If RpR or HRH or PFB you get Folp (front of line express passes) irrespective of who you book through. I have done it for one night many times. I go for cheapest or Tesco points.

2 nights minimum stay sounds like a virgin restriction possibly ? Never heard of that before.

i have booked a one night stay at HRH through virgin, we stay in november, there was no issue with the booking just spoke to virgin online and it was all sorted very quickly, offered a upgrade to rock level for about £90 but stuck with the basic room booking

Thanks for your replies guys - we were booking through Virgin holidays online and were booking the Hard Rock Hotel. It states it has early entry and express passes and was letting me book 1 night so think ill go ahead and book - it sounds like a couple of you have done the same so sounds safe to book! Thanks guys!

I booked a week at Portofino with Virgin as it was about £500 cheaper than booking direct

Not posted for a while but I did here a rumour about some of the hotels introducing a 2 night stay policy- I think it was only a trial and I can’t remember where I saw it
