American gladiators
Does anyone remember going to watch the American gladiators live somewhere in Orlando? Do you remember where it was?
I can remember going in maybe 99 or 2000. We got a limo and had a sit down meal whilst watching the gladiators. Just can’t for the life of me think of where it was.

Yep, it was one of the best days out of our 1996 holiday with boys aged 7 & 8. We were on a Thomson's package without a car and it was in the days when you went to a welcome meeting (they took you by bus to Splendid China to sell you excursions). We booked for Gladiators at that meeting and went by bus from Caribbean Beach. Can't remember much about the food but we all really enjoyed the show and have a great family photo which was taken there.
I think it was next door (ish) to a restaurant called Captain Nemo's which we liked the look of and went back later in the holiday when we had a car. A quick Google tells me that Captain Nemo's was on the 192 at no. 5469 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee. Not sure what's there now. Happy memories

The post above is spot on.
I can't open the Orlando Sentinel due to GDPR regs however the search shows the location as 5155 W. U.S. Highway 192. Mmm, check out the Lady on the left. Or is a head superimposed on a different body.

We took our kids, who both loved the it. It was a great show. After the show you could meet some of the Gladiators and have photos. Our kids were excited to meet a real “American” gladiator, the first guy they met was from Wolverhampton 😂
It was located in the Building that is now The Rock Church at 5515 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, Kissimmee, FL 34746, USA. Edited at 09:26 AM. |

Excellent info. Looks like it’s where the Big orange shop is. We were opposite at Cracker Barrel this morning!
