Marvel Land is going to Disney California, that is why they have closed the bugs story area, and there are plans to close where the buses come in currently and expand DCA into that area

Whenever I've read articles about this deal they only seem to mention the TV and movie media. I haven't seen anything about theme park rides. There can be different contracts for different things (for example, Disney owns the rights to produce Marvel movies but it doesn't own the rights to build Marvel rides in Orlando). Plus, just because Disney own something, it doesn't mean it can't appear somewhere else (eg. Marvel produce the Spider-Man films for Sony, not Disney. And Disney TV shows can appear on non-Disney TV channels).

I suspect that, although Disney will own the rights to the Simpsons TV show, the theme park rights will be covered under the existing contract. Universal didn't own Simpsons in the first place - Fox did - and they clearly had a contract in place to use the Simpsons theme within their parks. Whether Disney decides to change that contract in the future remains to be seen. They may use it to bargain the Marvel theme park rights away from Universal, but that's just speculation on my part.

I sometimes feel that people forget Disney already has a media streaming service - DisneyLife - which has been going since 2015.

I'm not sure why Disney didn't roll that out to the US several years ago.

BTW, Disney now owns the Alien franchise.

Now that Stitch's Great Escape is closed, they could retheme it back to how it was but do it properly this time and give people a true Alien-themed attraction.

Disney also now owns Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Planet of the Apes, Die Hard, Night at the Museum, Ice Age, X-Files and others. Think of the theme park possibilities!

Disney is looking to add more land to the Orlando site so who knows what the themes could be, if another park was to be built.
