Forest Holidays

Hi, after doing our first ever centre parcs trip to Elveden at the end of last month, I came across the above. We really enjoyed Centre Parcs and I’ll be honest, I prefer the lodges at Forest holidays but the sites don’t look at good at centre parcs. Has anyone gone to one? Thanks

Yes. We have done the one in Nottingham and the one in Norfolk. I love the lodges and the hot tubs. There isn't much to do onsite so look at what you would like to do in the area. We drove into Nottingham for shopping and prebooked the Cat's Cafe. The Norfolk one was a complete chill time. Did nothing but eat and drink and sat in the hot tub. Caught up ith my reading. I don't get chance at home. No lodges this year as we are going back to Florida in October.

Thanks that’s great That’s more or less what I would be after. I was thinking of either the one in Nottinghamshire or the one in Cornwall

We have been to Keldy and forest of Dean. Very little to do onsite but we used as a base to explore the local area. Was lovely to come back to the lodge and get in the hot tub.

DD and her partner went to the one at Keldy forest last October with their 2 dogs and really enjoyed it. We have two lodges booked there in August. The children will enjoy the forest environment and we will also use it as a base to explore the area

We go every year varying between Keldy and Sherwood. We prefer it to centre parks but I think it depends on what you want. We go in winter and enjoy walks in the forest, reading and spending the evening in the hot tub. There's something we love about being in the hot tub in freezing cold weather

We went for a week to keldy. I was very ill for the first few days and as the driver it meant my family were stuck on site. Thank goodness we had brought food with us because other than a cafe there is nothing on site. Fine once I was better but we preferred ceter parcs.

We’ve been for a week at the Cropton one with our 2 dogs, very relaxing and gorgeous lodges. Again not a lot on site restaurant/bar with outside space so used it as a base.

Would definitely go again.
