3 nights in Clearwater. . . where to stay?

Hi!

We're looking to have 3 nights in Clearwater at the end of out trip before flying home from Tampa. Which hotels etc would you recommend? We'd like to be right in the middle or at least as closer as possible (around pier 60) to make the most of walking instead of taking the car everyday.

Thanks!

DIBB Villa Reviews: 3
We have previously stayed at the Hilton in Clearwater - great, central location but found that for our dates for this year it was a lot more expensive. We have booked Pierhouse 60 which gets good reviews and was about a 1/3 of the price of the Hilton! We are only staying for one night, so a long as it is clean it will do fine for us.

Fab thank you! Thats one of the ones I'd spotted too - same as us, clean & tidy - we're happy!

Pierhouse 60 was indeed nice and central and gets decent reviews on here.
We stayed at Opal Sands for 3 nights in October after Dibb recommendations and loved it. We originally booked for 2 but ended up staying adding an extra night whilst we were there. It’s a short walk along the beach to pier 60. A fair bit pricier than pierhouse 60 from what I recall but we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

We have booked The Edge, at the south end of the beach, looks faily modern with a roof pool and bar to watch the sunset. I will be able to tell you what it is like in about 31 days time!

We are staying for three nights at pier house 60 on our upcoming trip, I can let you know what it’s like but that’s 3 months away! There happens to be a power boat race weekend on when we go, so I don’t think it’s going to be the peaceful start to our holiday that I was hoping for, but my ski boat DH and DS are buzzing about it!

We get fireworks instead of the pier 60 sundown movie while we are there.

We have stayed at the Hilton for two years. We really liked it and the Tikki Bar on the beach is lovely.
Not sure if it has changed but last year they had free activities in the mornings.
Last year we stayed in the Sand pearl. This was a really beautiful hotel. It was expensive and we ate out but we did get a good deal. It was central to the beach, restaurants and shops.

We are staying for 5 nights at the Wyndham Grand in Clearwater, I think it’s just in front of Pier House 60. We were going to stay at PH60, but I wasn’t sure how kid-friendly it was, so we switched to the Wyndham. It does look very nice.
