Can we have 2 bookings merged?
We have booked 3 nights at POR via Travel Republic. We are still to sort out accommodation for the 2 nights prior to this and we are thinking about making these at Disney also. We would most likely be doing so through a different TA not only because we can get a slightly better rate but because TR told us they cannot merge the bookings as they are for diFferent months - 29 & 30September are the 2 nights in question.
My question is, if we make a separate booking at the same hotel would we be able to have guest services merge the bookings at first check-in so we could just settle in 1 room for the 5 nights? We would be able to go to the hotel a few days beforehand to arrange this. TBH if we were likely to have to check out and re check in we probably wouldn't book the same hotel. |

I've done it before at BLT with 3 different bookings; two booked using DVC points and one paying through Disney. It took a while at reception when first booking in, but it is possible. Be aware though, that it is possible you may have to move rooms.

Thanks for your reply. We have made a bit of a mess with the booking that was why we originally consideredcancelling and re-booking for the whole 5 nights but a £60 cancellation fee put us off.
Will have to give this some consideration. |

We did it with HRH in November last year. We booked one night with one company and 4 nights with another one. I explained at checkin that we were staying a total 5 nights under two different bookings and we managed to stay in the same room for the 5 nights.

I've done this before, not in Disney but in NYC and it wasn't a problem. I emailed them beforehand and asked, gave both my booking numbers and as the bookings were for the same type room they linked them and I didn't need to checkout and check in again and stayed in the same room no problems.

I've done it a few times. Always had one room through out. But they won't guarantee it.
I figure it's less cleaning for them. If you move rooms, they have to get two rooms completely ready for new guests, so it makes more sense to leave you where you are. |
