My credit card doesn’t charge for use abroad and I get a slightly better exchange rate than I would when getting cash. It’s so much easier than worrying about how much cash I have on me, will it be enough for the day, will it be safe, etc.

However I always take some cash for tips in restaurants, taxis and just have a few hundred dollars just in case.

Used to use Cash and pre paid debit last trip to DLP we took some cash ~€150 and credit card with no fees aboard. That will be the way we go from now on as you capture a slight different exchange rate and means you don’t convert more or less money than needed. (I have a holidays saving account so money is always there to pay off CC soon as home)

We used to use T/C's, but last few trips just cash and card. We probably take too much cash as I do this at home too, but that's probably an age thing.

I intend to mainly use CC for our upcoming trip including for restaurant tips. For Mouse keeping, ME tips and bit and bobs I was thinking of taking around $250 in cash. This is for 2 weeks on DDP staying onsite. Does this sound about right?

How much do you tip the Magic Express?

I just do what I do at home every day of the year: use my credit card.

There's nothing more convenient than just using a piece of plastic, surely?

And when we're onsite we don't even do that - just use our Magicbands for absolutely everything and then settle up at the end (or in the middle if Disney decide we've spent enough and they want some cash!)

We have only ever used cash for 25 years and nothing will change our minds, yes I realise we are in the minority.

I have decided to do precisely the same - I still like to deal in cash if possible

I take a credit card (for emergencies) a monzo card and a bit of cash, but tbh the cash is always the same cash I took the year before and didn't spend!
