Lyft/Uber a better option than paying for parking?
Hi all
We have previously been Annual pass holders so not had to worry about parking at the Disney parks. We are due to travel January 2020 and because of the annual pass increase we will probably not get them this year and I was thinking Lyft or Uber May be a better option than paying the $25 parking. We are staying off the 192 near old lake Wilson road. It’s very close to the parks. Has anyone had any experience travelling from here and could give me an idea of cost? . |

If you download the Uber app you can put in the places you want to visit and it will give prices.
Lake Wilson Road, Davenport (I guessed it was this one but could be wrong) to Magic Kingdom is around $20 for instance.

Google maps also give an estimate of costs for "lift services".
Last year I went from Lindfields to Old Town in Kissimmee and it was under $13. Found the drivers out there very pleasant and never waited for long.

Depends where you are staying but our Lyft bill daily tended to be less than $25 a day on average so basically saving the cost of the car hire and fuel. It really depends on if you are doing anything further afield too in which case it may not be for you or you might want to consider a few days hire mid stay picking up at the Dolphin or Disney car centre too.
I found with Lyft there were always offers on the account, for example in April I had 10% off 10 trips when we arrived but two days later a new offer appeared on the app on a Monday morning offering 10 trips on week days with 25% off . |
