Resort question
Hi everyone,
We've booked or hols and opted for villa allocation on arrival but our agent has said we can request the resort. I'm just wondering which one to choose. Our options are: Hampton Lakes, Esprit, Orange Tree, Highland Reserve, Highgrove, Bridgewater and one other which I can't remember. Plz can anyone help? We want a nice villa that's modern, clean and well kept. Has anyone any experiences of staying at any of the above, good or bad? Thanks x |

There's no guarantees with any type of accommodation really. You could stay on a specific resort and find that your villa is clean, but not modern etc. If it were me, I'd work out where I'd like to be and see which resorts are in that area. You could check out the villa map on here for some of your locations or use Google maps. I like the area around Sunset Lakes/Emerald Island and always stay here using the same American villa owner who owns at both places. It's around marker 4-5, with lots of restaurants, close to the parks etc.
Oh, and welcome to the Dibb . |

The ones you've suggested are all similar distance away from Disney. I've stayed at Highlands Reserve, Hampton Lakes and Orange Tree before.
Personally I would pick Highlands Reserve of your selection, it's well looked after, some very nice properties are on site plus it's right next door to a supermarket (Publix) and a number of takeaways and a gas station so very handy if you need some shopping. |

For reviews of villa rental communities check out the DIBB Villa Community pages at
http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/Vill...ties-c-21.html and the Dibb Villa Location Map at http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/villa-map.php If you want to know how close you will be to the parks, Google Maps is a good way to check out the distance and driving time to Disney - go to maps.google and click “get directions”, then enter start address = your chosen community, and end address = 28.343,-81.566 (This will take you to the Disney maingate). If you have any problems with an AOA rental villa, it is always a good idea to let the management company and the tour operator know straightaway. They are on hand to deal with any issues. |

Thanks for your replies. I think we'll go for Highland Reserve, thanks mjwndave. I've had a tour around them using Google maps and it does look well kept. I know we can't see in the villas but I hope the TO and agents will be helpful if therre's a problem.
