Never stayed in a villa where we use the garage for the car
its always been a games room which was great for the "kids" when we wanted a 1/3 day rest

Hi
Ours is also a games room as I would imagine 95% are and you shouldn't have to worry about bugs in them Regards Rob |

We put the car in the garage one, back in 2004, when we were over there during Hurricane Jeanie. This allowed us to keep up to date on what was going on via the car radio (mains power was off for about 19hrs), as well as protecting the car from falling debris.
Other than that, we never used the garage for the car at all.

My two are over the moon that the villa we are renting in November has table tennis, they love it. There's always going to be the odd half hour here or there when the boys might be waiting for the rest of us to shower and get changed to go out to dinner etc, or when we come in of an evening. We are never out from the moment we wake up until the moment we go to sleep so to have that kind of entertainment on hand is an added bonus. That's if we can get the little blighters out of the pool!

Florida is the greatest place for a family holiday
Something for everyone ..all generations villas offer a great range of activities and all under one roof ( or screened cage!) various family members can please themsleves , swimming , games , TV/film viewing, reading , lounging , playing and all safely close to parents...you cannot be out all the time! we used to have a car in the garge but it was just a waste of space...people actually rarely use their garage for the car in the UK...it is usually a workshop /storeplace I wondered why you asked ? if you are worried about the heat ..all US cars have AC as standard..so always cool And you can buy very cheaply a reflective foil guard for the front windscreen if you feel you need

The children really love the gameroom at Windsor Hills villa! My husband would prefer a garage but it is what most guests want. We have a heater/air conditioner in our gameroom and it is cleaned just as the rest of the villa as it is an extension of the villa, just as the lanai and pool area.
At Vista Cay we still have the garage with the laundry area in the rear, which is functional for a medium car, as that is what most owners have there with the townhome model. However, most guests do not pull in the garage anyway from our experience at Vista Cay. They tend to park in the driveway and use the overflow parking behind. Sandy |

The last villa we stayed at had a garage that you could access from the house but the main doors from the street were locked so it could not be used to garage a car.

And does anyone use their garage at home to store a car? Or is it just full of junk like ours?

We used ours in 2005 during hurricane Wilma to store the car and the pool furniture - next door didn't bother and all their pool furniture was floating in the pool the next morning. We also use our garage to store the car at home.
