Best Accommodation for large family.

Hi All

We're planning an extended family trip, for fifteen. 6 adults, 9 children.
I'm not sure how feasible it is that we find a villa for all of us - although that is our first choice.

Does anyone know the largest number of bedrooms we are likely to find for a local villa? The most I have seen so far, is 7...

Any other recommendations for accommodation for a large group?

Hi, welcome to the Dibb . There are large villas out there that could house all of you, depends what you want and what you mean by "local". Obviously as some of you will be sharing a bedroom 7 BRs may actually be large enough, it depends how the families are divided up. Try searching on Google, maybe consider 2 villas next to or not too far from each other in the same resort. Personally, for having some private space and plenty loos/bathrooms/lounge/dining space, I would consider renting 2 villas. Hope you find something.

A 7 bedroom villa is about the largest you will find but some can sleep up to 16 there is one on the dibb.

Your other option would be to rent 2 villas on the same community
there are several owners here on the dibb that have villas in the same communities.

As Steve has said the biggest villa on the Dibb is 7 bed. Your other alternative is to put a request in the villa rentals section and look for 2 villas very close on the same community.

Thanks guys.

The villa on the Dibb is BEAUTIFUL - and I could definitely have imagined our family filling it Unfortunately its already booked out for our holiday dates - so the search continues!

I think we could comfortably stay in a 7 bed - providing the configuration was right (number of doubles vs. twin rooms). I do quite like the idea of two smaller villas though. My nearest and dearest may not feel like my nearest and dearest with three weeks on top of one another ;-)

For now, I'll enjoy researching. I'm sure there will be many properties already booking up for next Summer!

I would try 2 villas nearby
Tho many of the bigger villas have a good bathroom ratio i always think of the kitchen ...however big I feel that could get really congested in the mornings... 15 toast and coffeees... ?

I think I'd be tempted to go with 2 villas as well. Thats a lot of people in one house.

Welcome and happy dibbing

My advice would be to rent 2 villas there are plenty of communities with more than 1 DIBB villa on them in fact the home 2 doors up from ours is a recent new addition to the DIBB villa rentals. Gives more breathing space and you would also even have the practicality of 2 washers and 2 dryers 2 driveways, more bathrooms etc.

It might actually work out cheaper for you to rent 2 homes and I would also suggest each family has their own transport. Take a look to the right at the DIBB Guide information on communities, villa map, villa adverts and you might even want to place a request in the villa request section.
