Hollywood Studios Toy Story Land

Hi

We visited for our first time in May this year and saw that Toy Storyland is due to open at Hollywood Studios. We are hoping to return in August 2018 do you think it will be open by then?
Has any works started on it since May? When we were there it had been boarded up at the end of Pixar place and some things behind it were starting to be dismantled, I was wondering if anything else has been done since?

Disney are notoriously slow at building anything. Disney Springs is taking a lifetime to finish, Avatar Land has been on the go forever.

Based on past history of getting nothing done in long periods of time it's unlikely TSL will see the light of day for a long time yet. Wether that's 2018 or 2020 remains to be seen!

Although nothing official, rumours coming out of Disney poiunt towards a 2018 opening for Toy Story land and late 2019/earlier 2020 for Star Wars Land.

Avatar land started construction in Jan 2014 and will have taken 3 and half years when it opens (it was announced a few years before construction even started) however Avatar land is much more complex than toy storyland so I would expect as construction has already started that Summer 2018 is a fairly safe bet.
