DAS - Galaxys Edge

Hi guys, so we have just returned, and thought some of you would appreciate information on how DAS is working in Galaxy's Edge.

Smugglers Run - As usual, turn up at the ride (keep left as you go through this bit) through the marketplace, through Ronto Roasters, around the Docking Bay 7, down the ramp is a cast member for arranging DAS / parent swap.

Rise of the Resistance - You must have a boarding group to ride this, even with DAS, although DAS will get you though the fastpass line, and you miss out on about 30 mins additional queuing (this bit is not interactive, some props such as gun racks etc.) (make sure they send you through the fastpass line for DAS / parent swap), as when we did the parent swap, they sent them down the regular line. We also were sent down the regular line with the DAS pass, until I questioned them on it.

Downtime for downtime you are escorted from the ride, and there is no real way of knowing when the ride is up again, as you have already checked in, and the boarding information is then not updated in the app.

Thank you. I was wondering about this the other day.

I was just reading about all the frantic refreshing of the app to get a boarding pass while everyone is held at the entrance etc... and I just can’t see my 9yo with autism coping with the level of stress involved in waiting at the gate and the will we / won’t we get a boarding pass (he’s obsessed with SW so he already knows everything about it). Surely there is a better way for people with disabilities?

Yeh we will have the same problem at Easter... getting DS (ASD & other disabilities) up at 5am...dressed, fed out & into park to get boarding group... all the stress will either cause a huge meltdown (as he won’t understand why he can’t get on the ride) or a migraine... it’s stressing me out already! 😢

You have a 2 hour window for your boarding group from when it’s called accord to Tim tracker so if you are staying on site why not one person from your group go and get the boarding pass and you all come back when your group is called.

You can't do that. All tickets/magic bands must be used to enter the park (with the right fingerprint) before you can book a boarding pass. If someone can't make it the park at opening time they are probably out of luck at the moment.

I read on a fb group that they are now letting one person enter the park and get a boarding group then go to guest services with all tickets and they will add the rest of the family once they have checked das eligibility. Hope this information is accurate because there is no way I will get dd to rope drop.

My daughter is a member of a few Disney disability groups. I will have her keep an eye out for more info about this.
