Virgin flights date change instead of refund
Apologies as I am sure the answer to my question is here already on the forum but haven't been able to find it. We should have been in Miami this week but now need to decide what to about our flights. My initial reaction was to request a refund but I'm now minded to move the dates if Virgin are honouring date changes with no change in flight price if to the same desination - as the website suggests. I wanted to check if I had understood the policy correctly and if so, if others had managed to do this successfully. I am thinking about moving my flights to the Easter holidays.
Many thanks |

Sorry but no you have read it wrong
This is the Policy. To make it as easy as possible and for immediate peace of mind, we will automatically keep your ticket open as credit for you to use any time up to 30th September 2022. There's no change fee, and if you choose to travel on the same route up to 30th November 2020, we’ll also waive any differences in the fare. The bits I have put in bold relate to you. So you can roll it forward and they don't charge a fee at all up to Sept 2022. But! To keep the same price you need to travel by the end of Nov this year. So if for example you want May 2021 and the flights are £400 more than you paid for your cancelled one then you will have to pay that £400.

Thanks. Sorry, should have looked it up again myself! I would have sworn they moved the November date to April 2021 when I looked last week.

You may be right as I will never accept a voucher so don't look at their T & C's often.
I very much doubt they would have allowed Easter 'holiday time' flights to be in that category as they are expensive as we know and big earners!
