If you liked ITV’s Quiz, this six-part documentary on the multimillion dollar rigging of the McDonald’s Monopoly game in the early 1990s could be just your ticket. The story focuses on the mysterious character of “Uncle Jerry”, a cop turned security auditor who managed to rig the popular fast food sticker game for a decade, winning millions and recruiting a team of fraudsters across the US in the process. In tonight’s opening double bill, we see how the FBI received a tipoff, while a visit to a previous winner raises suspicions. Ammar Kalia

You can watch it now on catch up on Sky now. Just watching the first one. So interesting. I guarantee Doug Matthews wouldn’t have been an FBI agent in J Edgar’s day!

We watched this the other week, we had to stream it. We really enjoyed it. Was much more than we thought it was going to be.

Just seen this advertised now on Sky News ad break. I will be watching, it looks really interesting. I’ll start tomorrow morning I think, and watch as many as I can.

Have watched 3 episodes and enjoying it. I was very surprised at the brass neck of some of the recipients, they made it sound like they deserved it and it was nothing, not conning anyone. There is always some people that believe crimes pay but at one point in time we will always get to hear/read/watch about it.

It was astonishing that it was so easy to do. Surely it would have been better to have to show the item that the ticket had come from and the receipt for the item, not just be able to walk into any McDonalds with the ticket?
Agree that most of them couldn't see what they had done wrong but again a lot of them were career criminals anyway.
