Prices etc

I originally went the first three years DLP opened and TBH was totally underwhelmed and vowed I would never return, however, having read the thread on the main chat forum I’m now considering a return as the consensus of opinion is it’s much better now than it was then. BUT I am struggling to find anywhere where it does not come out less than £1200 for two nights for two adults. Who do you actually book through?

The plan is two nights DLP and 5 nights in Paris next September. We will drive up from Spain or catch a cheap flight from here

Any pointers please

Try both Magic Breaks and Walt Disney Travel Company.

Looking at Magic Breaks for Sep 2020 for example you can get 20% off and free half board meal plan, 2 nights are certainly coming out much cheaper than £1200. Midweek is best, weekends are more expensive, and much (much) busier.

Have you considered staying off-site, in Val d'Europe for example? It's only 2 minutes away on the very regular local train and the train station is at the entrance to the park. You should be able to find good accomodation for around £100 a night for two people, then a 3 day park ticket costs around £180 each.
I've stayed on-site, and off-site in both Val d'Europe and in the 'associated' hotels and I find Val d'Europe to be not only the best value but also a generally good experience particularly if you don't have kids with you who 'need' the full on-site experience - or maybe you 'need' it yourself :-)

Davy Crockett might be an option for you as you're driving - worth checking out.

But yes, there are plenty of offsite hotels that take you 5 minutes on the RER.

That said, if you can grab a bargain, onsite is lovely. The Cheyenne is a good budget option. Try midweek, and if you aren't tied to school holidays try to go term-time. In particular, avoid all weekends and French/Spanish public holidays if possible.

Also (as you are living in Spain there is probably no need to say this) it's not an American experience but a European one. If your idea of 'Disney magic' = American cheesy OTT happy style service, you won't find it there. The French idea of service is to be invisible and unobtrusive unless needed. That said, if you start a conversation (even in my ropey 30 year old school French) they absolutely blossom.
