Mobile Queue tips for kids

Anyone got any good ideas to keep kids occupied in the queues this month? They are 5 and 6?

Playing word games such as: Favourites, take it in turns to choose a topic and each share your favourite, start with easy ones like colour, animal and progress to anything relevant.
Or what / who am I? Take it in turns to choose an animal (or a disney character), give the others 2 clues and then keep guessing until get it right or more clues needed.
Build a story - create a group story by taking it in turns to add another sentence to a story that starts... Once upon a time at Disney...
Work through the alphabet - many variations on this - either take turns or as a family think of something that starts with each letter of alphabet in turn on a topic, eg food, animals, things in your bedroom, things at disney, things I can see around me now, etc.
And of course I spy!

Are you staying onsite? If so use EMT to avoid some queues. Peter Pan will be a walk on first thing, as will Teacups and Carousel. Or start in Discoveryland and head straight for Buzz.

Heads Up app - download the Disney characters pack. It never fails. It also seems to be good entertainment for everyone else in the queue when we're playing it 😂😂

We set ourselves the rule of 30 minutes max wait and if it's longer we don't do it. We've found that queues where you can see the ride keep my two occupied as they enjoy watching it. Agree that snacks or toys are great at amusing them. We've found that the more they queue, the better they get at it as they get used to it. After years of different theme parks, they will stand there quietly and just people watch mostly but we do stick with the maximum time rule!

We are just back last night and like above, we avoid long waits as a rule. DS is 5 and has finally got the knack for Disney Who Am I? (Like 20 questions with a Disney character.)

We decided to camp out to meet Peter and Wendy on our last morning because the park was so busy it was going to be futile to attempt too much, and we looked up ‘how to draw’ instructions for different characters and took turns having a go. That was excellent fun and we will definitely try it again in the future.
