Today I ache in all joints. I guess this is part of the Chemotherapy. It must be working!

Please don't always put things down to the chemo and always mention everything you are feeling to the nurses. Sometimes they can spot things out of the ordinary when you mention these things. Take care ❤

People have different experiences with chemo, I remember when I went for my first one there was a lady sat next to me having her chemo session , she was dressed in a smart suit and was working on her laptop, she finished the session and was going into work afterwards, I thought wow it can’t be that bad .
I got home from my session and practically fell into bed and stayed there for three days , feeling sick and like I had the worst dose of flu ever , every bone in my body ached and I had some sort of Adrenalin going on that was keeping me awake , after the three days I started to feel a bit better each day and by the third week I was back to normal all ready for my next session 😫
Like a previous poster said, always mention to the chemo nurses how your body is reacting as they may be able to help with the side effects , I didn’t mention I felt violently sick until near the end of my treatment and was told I could have had anti sickness drugs to ease the nausea . Plus there might be things they need to know to keep you on track .
It’s a huge journey you are on and when you feel lousy just remind yourself that it’s the toxins that are destroying the cancer cells in your body , like you said it’s working , it’s doing it’s job .
Keep your spirits up and take care of yourself , if you are exhausted don’t try to push yourself , sleep and let your body fight back. it’s a battle worth fighting and I wish you well .
