Flu Jab

Both of us got a text from our GP surgery at 1030 this morning saying that if we wanted an appointment for a flu jab to ring the surgery (on dedicated line) to arrange. Rang soon as and the first available appointment is for 24 Sep! Obviously a good take-up for flu vaccine - just wish everyone was as keen to get Covid-19 vaccine

Got my Mom, Dad and myself booked for ours on 25 September at Boots.

Yeah I got a text on Saturday saying they are finalising the covid booster and flu jab with other GP practices and we will be getting them in mid September

I got a text from our surgery the other day, saying "save the date" flu jabs will be given week commencing 16th October. Later than most, but at least it's earlier than it was last year.

My asthma nurse has just said she will be seeing me in october for mine, possibly my covid booster as well.

Can I point out that GP practices really rely on the small amount of extra income they generate from Flu jabs, unfortunately because of the way they get their jabs allocated to them many can't start jabbing till after the likes of Boots and some are really worried about the impact this will have on their services this year if their patients go elsewhere to get it quicker. So please book at your GP if you get the chance.

We are booked in at boots on sept 18th. Our GP has left us until really late in the past and ordered my immune suppressed son the wrong vaccine so we prefer to go to Boots and get done quicker with less hassle.

Just checked my surgeries website and they are doing surnames S-Y early October, MO - S mid October, no dates yet for my surname (MI), so no idea when that will be
