I don't have exact figures but my best guess is perhaps around 10% - some years more (especially if multiple Disney trips in the same year), some years less (last year and this year being 0%!).

We don’t go every year but plan ahead a year or two ahead, work out what we want to do,how much it costs then set up a saving plan per month. DH got a 20% pay rise this year (hgv driver) and I got regraded by about 27% so our disposable income is a lot more for our next trip.

For 2023 our % works out at approx 25% for what I’m planning but we will save over 12 months for the trip - we only save when we have a trip booked. Previous trips we have saved about 20% but because our salaries were lower our trips costs less.

This is the first trip without DD so we thought it would be cheaper but we have just choose more expensive options as we haven’t been since 2019.

We go to the US (Florida & California) 4 times a year although we don’t do Orlando or theme parks.
I would estimate that 100% of my salary goes on those so roughly 40% of our joint incomes.
7 cancelled trips so far have been good for our savings!

difficult one to answer. last florida hol was with our 3 kids . they now grown up so hoping they dont want to tag along and drain the piggy bank. lbut normally takes 2 years of saving . so about 10% net ×2 of us put away each month.
luckily or not depending on circumstsnces, ive put 40% of my net income away for a nice hol while covid continues. thats still paying bills, mortgage, car etc. quite supprised my self as im not highly paid( im a car mechanic)

We're a couple in our 20's. I've just worked ours out and each month we save 21% of our net wages into our Florida savings account. This is just to cover flights/tickets/accommodation and spends & food money are saved separately.

That sounds like a lot but as my OH is only working part time at the moment we don't have a huge income. Our outgoings are very low though and we don't spend very much in general.

I guess it’s a hard one for me. I don’t work or draw a pension (yet) so in limbo but will go to California as soon as I can and have booked Dubai for the month of February.

My maxim is life is for living - I am here for a good time not a long time.

I neither owe any one or body a dime nor does anyone owe me.
