our youngest was a tall 10yo when we went a few years ago now. no issues backtoback through the barriers as the adult used an oyster. our 13yo used a preordered oyster as she was going back to London with the school (so she wanted to look cool with her own photo card). it took a couple of weeks and wasnt free.
